If you're still unsure about Xbox Madden 10, then you need a trip through the football video game timeline, back to the beginning, to change your mind. Sure, there's something not right about saying a current game is great merely because it blows away its ancestors. But it helps to see how much progress has been made in football video games, by taking a glance at the earliest video games and comparing them to Xbox Madden 10. Certainly, there was a huge, untapped market for football video games, when the first generation of console games made their debut. But the catch was, the power of the early video game consoles didn't exactly equal the imaginations and desires of those early hardcore gamers, so everyone had to settle for less. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one. They didn't even try to make those guys look like people. Just needed to get that one off my chest. The photo may be underwhelming, but the game itself is even more so. From a technological standpoint, things were so basic, that multiple players moving at once meant that the only thing extreme about this game was the flickering of the players. Audio was as awful as the video. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. In a short matter of time, the competitors entered the video game console field, and brought out their take on a more realistic football video game. They definitely took the ball and ran with this one, giving gamers better gameplay, visuals, and sound. It wasn't there yet, though. Hardcore gamers were pretty excited by that one, as it really heralded the beginning of sports video games - but it was still just an early entry in the field. Gamers would have to wait a while on the bench before that came true. But this one, which was released in the late 80s, as part of the next generation of game consoles, really hit it big, to the point where people still love it. If you were to ask a gamer from the 90s what their favorite sports video game was, this one would crack the top 5 list. Why this went supernova isn't hard to figure out - with actual offensive and defensive strategies, they brought in a new level of realism. It was an amazing evolution in football video games, and this one was really a major turning point. It's one of the few "old school" games that can still excite today's crop of hardcore gamers. That being said, as much as everyone digs that one, Xbox Madden 10 is in an entirely different league.
It's always great to see how far we, and football video games, have come. We've had a few chuckles, but mocking less advanced video games isn't a productive use of our time. We think you understand. Those games had their weaknesses, but if it weren't for them, we wouldn't be playing Xbox Madden 10 today, so they did get the ball rolling. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The fans aren't the only ones raving about Xbox Madden 10 - the critics have said their piece, and they're into it. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. EA Sports didn't even come close to fumbling the ball with Xbox Madden 10, that's for sure. There are always going to be the haters, but pay no attention - Xbox Madden 10 rules. As great as Xbox sports video games offerings are, Xbox Madden 10 is at the top of the pack. Most of the gaming world agrees that this is the new standard by which the rest shall be judged. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money.
It's a great time to be an Xbox Madden 10 expert - now you can slug it out for some real money. When you've conquered the Xbox Madden 10 playing field, you'll be conquering your rivals - and snagging their cash.
